Description
|
This course has two aims: to help students master the important skill of email writing and to help students understand how different levels of formality and politeness are formed in English. Although not all students will need to speak English for their future jobs, most will have to read and respond to email; as such, this course is extremely useful preparation and will look very good on a resume. In addition, the ability to adapt your language based on requirements of formality and politeness will not only help you craft professional email but will also transfer into your spoken communication. This class is recommended for students that need to write email in academic or professional situations and students who want to know how to be polite when making requests, saying “no”, and saying “sorry.”
