Description
Purpose: Students will gain confidence in actively participating in various discussions and in expressing their ideas and opinions in English. Students will take turns leading discussion sessions during the semester. 
Lessons will cover strategies for sharing opinions, actively participating in and leading discussions in small groups. Students will observe discussions, conduct peer evaluation, and report on their observations.

Lesson 5: Review test on discussion techniques / Introduction to a Socratic Seminar

Lesson 10 ~ 13: Discussions activities led by students
Lesson 14: Wrap up / Evaluation and refection

Homework
Review the materials covered in class. Confidence using these vocabulary items and useful phrases will be the benefit you take from this course. Review each lesson and bring any questions and comments to class. Students are required to attend the self-access center for 2 – 3 sessions to practice conversation outside of class.

Grading
10% for participation
90 % for assignments [Worksheets, Discussion assignment, & Self-Access]
