Description
This course aims to equip students with language learning strategies to take charge of their own language acquisition, and to prepare for study abroad experiences. Students will identify their learning styles, and will develop personal strategies for language learning beyond the classroom. In group and class discussions, students will repeat a cycle of setting goals, planning learning activities, and reflecting on the results. This will provide opportunities to express opinions and ideas with classmates in English. Projects will use the internet and other resources identified by the students and the instructor. Students will focus mostly on their listening and speaking skills.

Homework
It is important to review previous lessons and complete assignments and homework by the due dates. Each assignment will prepare students for subsequent activities.

Grading
10% Attendance and class participation
90 % for assignments 
  • 48%: 5-steps Reflexive cycle Worksheets (12 pts each x 4) ,
  • 30%: Presentation,
  • 10%: Self-assessments [Before and After], and
  • 2%: Learning style inventory and Learning strategies inventory
***5 %: Self-Access participations as extra
