Description
This course teaches students the fundamental elements of academic writing. It begins by guiding students in how to use information from library resources to support an argument, without plagiarizing or misusing the sources information. It then teaches student how to create the structured paragraphs that are common to academic writing and the complex sentences that are used to express complex academic ideas. This class is recommended for students who want to improve their formal writing. The skills learned in this course can be used for academic and business writing.

Any writing assignments not finished in class, must be finished at home.
